Brighton Baptist kindergarten is located in the middle of Brighton, steps from Bay Street and minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Church Street. We are a community operated kindergarten that welcomes and encourages family participation and involvement in our program. Our Committee of Management is made up of voting representatives from Brighton Baptist Church and parents to ensure the kindergarten operates smoothly and effectively.
Brighton Baptist Kindergarten has been supporting kindergarten education in the Brighton Community for over 50 years. Initially funded entirely by the church and parents, the Kindergarten began to receive external financial assistance during the 1970’s when it became registered with the then Department of Community Services.
Beyond the busy thoroughfare in Outer Crescent is a tranquil play environment that is private, spacious and full of exciting activities for children to learn and explore. Our doors are always open, so if you haven’t already seen our kindergarten please, drop by and say hello.
Our program provides opportunities for the children to grow and develop in all areas: emotionally, socially, cognitively, physically and in their language development. We run intentional teaching programs focusing on perceptual motor development, literacy and numeracy each week and have introduced an Out and About program in our 4 Year old program.
Assessed under the National Quality Framework in 2018 we successfully achieved a standard of “exceeding” which we work to maintain every minute of the day that our kindergarten doors are open.
