Brighton Baptist Kindergarten offers a Bush Kindergarten program all year round in the Koala 4YO program. Our bush play space is a fenced garden environment at Kamesburgh Gardens shared by Star of the Sea’s Year 9 program. The environment with its decade old tree provides a rich learning environment for the children to explore and gain an understanding of the natural environment.
In bush kindergarten, all experiences are influenced by the natural environment and rely heavily of what we can find, see and create to inform the play. Boots and raincoats are a must in winter as learning doesn’t cease when the clouds and rain roll in. Bush kindergarten helps to develop your child’s confidence, resilience and motivation. They develop a respect for the natural environment and are encouraged to participate in play that increases their imagination and risk development. Everyone loves bush kindergarten and there is no doubt your child will too.
